Himachal - here lie vistas whose beauty seems matchless standing against marrows of soft grass, snow-draped peaks lose their heights in the clouds. Home to warm and hospitable people preserving their culture and age-old traditions makes Himachal a worthwhile place to visit.

Itinerary:

Day 1
Delhi ( 315m ) - Chandigarh ( 365m ) - Shimla ( 2205m ); 4 hours by train and then 3 hours by car
Leave Delhi for Chandigarh by Shatbadi Express at 07.40 in the morning. Escort to the hotel for rest. Hang around the Mall and Ridge in the evening. Dinner and over night stay in hotel.

Day 2
Shimla ( 2205m ) - Naldehra ( 2044m; 18km ); Naldehra ( 2044m ) - Kufri ( 2633m; 26km ); Kufri - Shimla (16km )
After breakfast, visit Jakhu temple. Located at the town’s highest point, the temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Visit Naldehra - 18 km from Shimla. It has a nine-hole golf course designed by the British Viceroy Lord Curzon. After visiting Naldehra, we take you to Kufri which is famous for the panoramic view it offers and for its Ski slopes. We return to Shimla’s hotel for rest.

Day 3
Shimla ( 2205m ) - Manali ( 2050m ); 260km; 6 - 7 hrs drive
Leave for Manali. Check into hotel for rest. Evening is free to visit Manali Market. Back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 4
In and around Manali ( 2050m )
After breakfast, visit the famous Hadimba temple – a famous woodwork in Pagoda style architecture. Explore the Nagar castle and Roerich Art Gallery – dedicated to the celebrated Russian painter Nicholas Roerich who married the Indian cine idol - Devika Rani, and lived there. Visit Rohtang Pass ( 3978m ) and visit Vashist famous for its hot water springs. Later we return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 5
Manali ( 2050m ) - Dharamshala ( 1387m ); 240km; 7 - 8 hrs drive
We leave Manali for Dharamshala. En route we visit Bir Monastery where we can visit the Tibetan carpet weaving factory and drive towards Dharamshala, check in to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6
In and around Dharamshala ( 1387m ); Mcleodganj ( 1770m )
After breakfast we visit the Norbulinga Institute of Tibetan Culture that was founded by the Department of Religion and Culture to preserve Tibetan culture and visit Chinmaya Tapovan that was established by Swami Chimayanand. There is also a 9m tall Lord Hanuman image and Ram Temple. Evening is free to visit the market at Mcleodganj also known as little Lahsa. Mcleodganj is the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7
Dharamshala( 1387m ) - Dalhousie ( 2036m; 143km; 5 - 6hrs )
We take you to Bhagsunag - an ancient temple. Afternoon, we leave Dharamshala for Dalhousie. Check in to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8
Dalhousie ( 2036m ) - Khajjiar ( 1931m ) - Dalhousie ( 2036m )
After breakfast, we visit Panjpulla, Subash Bowli, and Stature Falls. Then we will take you to Khajjiar also known as mini Switzerland of Himachal Pradesh. Back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9
Dalhousie ( 2036m ) - Delhi ( 315m )
After breakfast leave for Pathankot to catch onward train to Delhi.
