This hiking route is equally popular among the trekkers as well as the Hindu pilgrims because of its association with Lord Shiva.
Mani Mahesh Peak is located 35km from Bharmour. It is also called Chamba Kailash. The peak is 5486m above sea level. The pilgrimage to Mani Mahesh is called "Man ka Mahesh" because it provides one with spiritual satisfaction after viewing Mount Kailash and taking a holy dip in the lake. The Mani Mahesh Yatra begins on Krishna Janmashtami and concludes on Radha Ashtami every year.

Day 01
Pathankot/ Chakki Bank- Chamba (912m); 126kms; 4-5hrs drive.
On Arrival at Chakki bank or Pathankot railway station, assistance on arrival and leave for Chamba. Arrival
in Chamba and check in to pre booked hotel. Evening is free to explore
historical town of Chamba. This is historically worth seeing
town, which is generally not visited by the tourist. The
Laxmi Narayan temple of Chamba is a masterpiece of Himalayan
heritage architecture. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 02
Chamba(996m) - Bharmuor(2195m) ; Hudsar - 82kms Drive
Then Trek from Hudsar to Dancho; (7 kms - 2-3 hrs)
Note:- Hudsar is the starting point of trek.
Leave Chamba for Hudsar by Bharmour. Bharmour is 65km from
Chamba, which is famous for 84 ancient temples. Now we drive
from Bharmour for Hudsar which is the starting point of
Mani Mahesh Trek. Trek to Dancho. It takes around 3 hours
to reach our first camp site at Dancho. Overnight in Tents.
Day 03
Dancho - Mani Mahesh (3970m) - Dancho; ( 8 Kms 0ne way- 3-4hrs)
After refreshing and breakfast, we leave for Gauri kund
and then to Mani Mahesh lake. There are two ways to reach
Mani Mahesh: one is through Bandar ghati and another is
way, which generally for visitors.After darshan of holy Kailash retrun to dancho by Same Route and
Overnight in Tent.
Day 04
Dancho - Hudsar - Chamba (996m)
Leave Dancho for Hudsar,and drive to Chamba. Dinner and overnight
in pre booked hotelDay 03
Day 05
Chamba - Chakki Bank/ Pathankot ; 126 kms- 3-4 hrs drive
After Breakfast leave for Chakki Bank / Pathankot railway station. Drop at railway station in time to catch the train
for onwards journey with sweet memories of the tour.
